Specialty Theatre, the theatrical and stage rigging, drapery, and equipment division of Specialty Group Pty Ltd, is proud to announce the new STS140 light bar for heavy-duty stage lighting applications.
The new lighting bar features extremely robust, all-steel construction and is fully designed and manufactured in Australia for Australian conditions. Unistrut channelling means that mounting can be easily taken care of with standard Unistrut mounting apparatus.
Unlike other lighting bars on the market, the STS140 comes complete with everything needed for it to work as a stand-alone bar or when bolted together since multiple 2.4 metre sections can be easily joined to make larger bars.
The lighting bar contains two electrically and mechanically segregated compartments, one for 230V and one for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and data transmission, and with 6 x 10A outlets mounted across one side of the bar.
The STS140 lighting bar is designed to comply with AS3100:2002 electrical safetyrequirements and AS4991:2004 (C2) lifting beam requirement.
“We listened to our customers who told us that the existing products on the market were either too fragile or too expensive. We decided to develop a product that was both super strong and reasonably priced” said Jim Dodd, Theatre Sales at Specialty Theatre.
“When we did the destruction load testing, we stopped the test at 600kg with the bar intact, but we’re still rating at a 100kg/m Distributed Load Limit (UDL) and a 100kg Point Load rating for consistency with industry standards” said Brian Ross, General Manager.
