The wool is produced using recycled water with a zero liquid discharge manufacturing procedure. STS571 wool is a good acoustic sound damping with a range of fullness to achieve different values. The curtain provides a good way to enhance the look of the venue and add acoustic damping at a low SQM cost with a quick installation. Cinemas use curtains on side and rear wall. Live theatre and schools use curtains to dress the stage end (FOHC (Front of House Curtain), border, legs, tabs and valances).

To be Specialty Theatre’s STS571 IFR wool 420GSM at 80% fullness, the wool will comply with the AS1530 Parts 2 and 3 standards for fire resistance and carry a Care Label 4 for proper maintenance. It is made from 100% recycled materials and manufactured using a zero-liquid discharge procedure. The composition of the fabric is 90% wool and 10% nylon, with a weight of 420 GSM. • Fire Resistance: The IFR property of the wool fabric ensures inherent fire retardancy, providing a high level of safety in theater environments. It meets the AS1530 Parts 2 and 3 standards, indicating excellent resistance to ignitability, spread of flame, and heat evolved.
  • Acoustic Damping: The wool fabric has good acoustic properties, contributing to sound control and enhancing the acoustics of the theater space. It helps in reducing echo and reverberation, creating a more immersive and enjoyable experience for the audience.
  • Weight and Fullness: With a weight of 420 GSM (Grams per Square Meter), the wool fabric offers a desirable fullness that adds depth and texture to stage curtains and draperies. Its substantial weight allows for smooth and elegant draping, enhancing the visual aesthetics of the theater.
  • Quick Installation: The fabric’s design and characteristics enable quick and efficient installation. This is particularly beneficial in theater productions where time is of the essence. It allows for smooth transitions between scenes and quick changes of set elements, ensuring a seamless and engaging performance.
