Performance:

  • Fire Retardancy: IFR Black Wool is naturally fire-resistant and offers built-in fire-resistant qualities that do not deteriorate over time. It is acceptable for use in settings where fire safety is a concern, such as theatres, event venues, and public areas since it complies with or surpasses fire safety regulations.
  • Thermal Insulation: 230GSM IFR Black Wool offers some thermal insulation despite being lightweight. It adds a layer of insulation against heat gain or loss, which aids in temperature regulation and boosts energy efficiency.
  • Acoustic Performance: IFR Black Wool’s acoustic performance is aided by its tightly woven, dense structure. It has the ability to absorb sound, which lessens echo and reverberation in a room. This qualifies it for uses including theatres, recording studios, and conference rooms where sound management and noise reduction are sought.
  • Durability: IFR Black Wool is made to resist frequent use and handling while yet being lightweight. It is appropriate for applications that need performance and easy manoeuvrability because it strikes a balance between weight and durability.
  • Light Absorption: IFR Black Wool has excellent light absorption properties due to its dark color. It effectively blocks out unwanted light and reduces glare when used for curtains, drapes, or other light-blocking applications.
  • Aesthetic Appeal: Black Wool fabric offers a sleek and sophisticated look. Its deep black colour adds a touch of elegance to any space.

Maintenance and Care:

Care Label 4 – Woolen fabrics must be protected against sunlight with lining and/or other shading device. Remove hooks, rings and trims before cleaning. Regularly vacuum with appropriate attachment. Do not wash. Dry clean only . Reduce load and tumble dry at 55˚C. Cool iron may be used. Possible shrinkage 3%.

  • Regular Cleaning: Use a soft brush or a vacuum with a brush attachment to regularly remove dirt and debris from the fabric. This keeps the fabric clean and reduces the buildup of dirt.
  • Spot cleaning: Take care of spills and stains right away to lessen their effects. Apply a clean, wet towel or sponge to the affected area and gently blot it. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing to prevent the spreading of the stain or fabric damage. If necessary, use a gentle detergent designed especially for wool and adhere to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Dry Cleaning: Dry cleaning is advised in order to preserve the fire retardant qualities and general quality of the 230GSM IFR Black Wool fabric. Select a reputable dry cleaner with experience cleaning wool materials, and ensure they know the fabric’s fire resistance.
  • Sunlight Protection: Keep the fabric out of the sun for as long as possible to prevent fading and damage. To reduce the exposure of the cloth to damaging UV rays, use UV-blocking treatments or install window coverings.
  • Storage and Handling: To prevent snagging or tearing while handling the fabric, steer clear of sharp objects and uneven surfaces. Store the fabric in a spotless, dry location away from harsh lighting and temperatures to stop deterioration.
